RUMANIAN’S ATTEMPT.
LONDON. Nov. 20. The Rumanian, Prince Cantacuzene. left Croydon at 12.36 a, m. in an attempt td heat Flying Officer Clouston s Cape record. , . A Paris message States that Prince Cantacuzene lander! at Le Bonrget, at 1.52 a.m., and he left for Alais at 231 a.m. after refuelling. He is flying a Caudron Tvphon monoplane ot horse-power Renault engines. He planned to flv straight to in the Congo and then direct to Capetown. but at. the last minute decided to land at Paris to refuel and thence fly to Capetown in two hops. 'An Algiers message reports that Prince Cantacuzene landed at Aulef, 750 miles south-west of Aimers. He is averaging 165 miles an hour. He left later for the Cape..
