MANCHESTER UNITY, 1.0.0 F. Tile election of officers for the next term was held at the summoned meeting of the Loyal Manawatu Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F. The following is the list: N.G., Bro. D. S. McNaughton; V.G., Bro. L. Haynes; 1.P.N.G., Bro. L. IV. Rees; E.S., Bro. A. H. Sweetman; L.M., Bro. H. Mullaney, P.G.; management committee, P.G.’s, Bros. A. Dawick, H. Freeman, H. Mullaney; Hospital Association, P.D.G.M., Bro. H. Sharman; Friendly Society Council, P.G.’s Bros. C. V. Christiansen and J. Prisk; Friendly Society Dispensary Board, P.D.G.M. Bro. H. Sharman and P.G. Bro. IV. Eyre, F.S. The sick visitor’s report presented by Bro. J. Carroll, was favourable. A challenge in the bowls competition was received from the Lind Lodge of Druids, Tokomaru, and left with the bowls team to arrange. N.G. Bro. L. IV. Rees extended a welcome to the District Grand Master, Bro. F. Wilson. The D.G.M.’s visit was for the purpose of judging the general ritual work of the lodge. Other visitors welcomed were the district secretary, Bro. G. Wilson, and three members of Wanganui Lodge. The notice of motion in reference to the Juvenile Lodge resulted in a committee being set up to deal with the business connected therewith. The installation of officers will take place at the next lodge meeting. After supper a mock court was held.
