AUCTIONEERS! REPORTS. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Coy., Ltd. .(inc. in Eng.), - report on the Feilrling salo held on Friday as follows: — Fat sheep word penned in average numbers and met with quite a ready Sale and prices were on a par with late rates. A small number of store sheep wore yardci consisting mostly of wethers and hoggetj with the market showing a decided improvement in vendors’ iavour on sales itiado the previous week. Station cattle were offered to a most optimistic bench of buyers on account of the rain that had set in, although passings were still quite freqtiont; pens that were sold showed a slight improvement on sale 3 made a week ago at tho supplementary c&ttle fair. Thcro was a largo ottering of boner cows which sold slightly in advance of last week, as also did yearling Jersey heifers. A large entry of fat cattle consisting mostly of cows ex dairy met with a ready sale with prices on a par with the previous week. The N.Z. Farmers’ Co-op. Distributing Co., Ltd., report on Feilding sale:—A full yarding of fat shoep, including several lots of prime heavy ewes mot with a steady salo, with values hardly up to late sales. A small offering of store sheep was in firmer demand, prices showing a_ slight improvement. Contrary to expectations, there was a stronger enquiry for run cattle. Good rains in Taranaki induced several operators from that district to attend the sale and the tone of the market was more satisfactory than recently, prices showing a firming tendency. Beef yarded, both run and ex dairy sorts, was in excess of requirements, and prices were slightly easier. Potter cows and dairy cattle sold at late rates.
