Cook’s secured an eight-point win over City in the junior B grade. Cook’s in their first innings, put on 84, and City replied with 67 (Marsden 3 for 32, Parker 3 for 14). In their second innings Cook’s made 57, and City’s second innings amounted to 72 (Parker 4 for 15, Berryman 3 for 13. Meeting United, Y.M.C.A. gained a six-point win. Y.M.C.A.’s first innings realised 129 (Watson 39), and United’s first innings closed at 63 (Romerill 5 for 15). In their second innings Y.M.C.A. had 95 runs on for 8 wickets when play closed. High School met Kia Toa and took six championship points as the outcome. Kia Toa’s first innings amounted to 100 (Cousins 3 for 11) and High School’s reply was. 121 (Beard 39; Parlane 4 for 13). Kia Toa were all out for 74 i ntheir second innings.
