AVIATION PILOTS.
BOARD’S RECOAIAIENDATION. Per Press Association. • WELLINGTON, Nov. 20. Finding that the loss of the aeroplane ZK —ACZ with the pilot, Mr A. Smith, and passenger, Air J. Hamill. near Cape Terawhiti on March 23 and due to misadventure and not to the fault or negligence-of any persons was made by the board of inquiry, whose finding is announced to-day. As a general submission, with a view to the preservation of life and the conservation of aircraft, the board recommended that all clubs be urged to insist that all trainees or members undergo advanced or check dual flying at periods of 40, 00 . 80 and 100 hours of solo flying, and that such flying include, wherever possible, some experience under adverse weather conditions.
