MAGISTRATE’S COURT.

Mr J. L. Stout. S.M., presided at a sitting of the Palmerston North Magistrate’s Court to-day. Henry Joseph Morris charged with being £62 10s in arrears in the maintenance of his wife and three children, was ordered to pay at least £1 a week off the arrears and also comply with the order for £2 a week, default being fixed at three months’ imprisonment. Richard Archie Tudor, charged with being in arrears to the extent of £3 7s 6d in the maintenance of his child at the rate of 7s 6d a week, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, sentence to be suspended so Hong as defendant pays 7s 6d a week off the arrears and pays full maintenance.
