SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES.

WELLINGTON PRICES LOWER. Lower prices for sheepskins and hides ruled at the sale held yesterday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins.—The market at present is very depressed and evidence of (his 1 was shown at yesterday’s sale, when a sharp decline in values was recorded, sound pelted lines being lower by 2d to 2id per lb. Inferior and damaged parcels, however, did not show the same decline and sold relatively well. Hides.—An average offering was submitted which met a very weak market. Heavyweights declined by Id to ljd. medium and light by id to Id, yearling and kip by Id to 2d, and calfskins by lid to 2d. Tallow. —The small offering submitted showed little variation in price. The range of prices is as follows: — Dry sheepskins.—Halfbrcd, 5Jd to 9id; fine crossbred, 7d to 9d; medium crossbred, 6|d to 9Jd; coarse crossbred, 6d to Bjd; half-wools, sjd to 84cl; quarter-wools, 4|d to 6|d; pelts, 3id to s?d. Hides. —Ox, 33!b to 441 b, 5d to sjd; 451 b to 521 b, sgd to 7|d; 531 b to 591 b, 63d to B|d; 601 bto 691 b, 6|d to 8«d; 701 b and over, 6|d to B|d. Cow, 331 b to 391 b, 4gd to sjd; 401 b to 481 b, 4id to sjd; 49.1 b and over, 4jd to sid. Kip, 251 b to 321 b, 4i,d to sid; 171 b to 24!b, 4d to 6|d. Yearling, 111 b to 161 b, 5d to 9d. Calf, 91b to 101 b, Bfd to 9d; 61b to 81b, B*d to 9jjd; lib to 51b, 6|d to 10Jd. Tallow. —In casks, to 18s per cwt.; in tins, 5s to 10s. Sundries.—Cow tails, 9jd to lOd. Horsehair, 17id to 18id.
