BIRTHS AND DEATHS.

STATISTICAL REVIEW. (British Official Wireless.) Received November 13, 12 noon. RUGBY, Nov. 12. The statistical review for 1936 by death rate was 12.1, which was 0.4 above the 1935 rate, but 0,2 below that for 1933. Allowing for the fact that the average age of the living population is increasing, the resulting corrected standardised death rate was 9.2, which was only 0.2 above the lowest rate ever recorded, namely, for 1935. Mortality from infections from parasitic diseases in general reached the low record of 1.17 and the tuberculosis rate declined once again to a new low record of 692 per 1,000,000. The cancelrate corrected for the increasing ago of the population shows a slight rise to 1010 per 1,000,000.
