BRITISH FILM LOSSES.

LONDON, Oct. 10. Gaumonh-British Corporation announces that it has set aside £766,809 to cover film production and distribution losses. The net profit is stated at £195,000. Earlv in February Gaumont-Britisli decided to curtail production, and to close down its Shepherd’s Bush studios. It was explained that it bad invested £5,000.000 in the motion picture industry, and fought for five years in vain. For a time, it was feared that the concern would pass into the hands of American bidders, but a reconstruction with British capital was effected.
