Tho Daily Telegraph says that King George of Greece is paying an unofficial visit to England early in November. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 20. About three thousand candidates will be nominated to-morrow for the 1377 seats to be filled nt the municipal elections for London boroughs on November 1. With a few exceptions Labour candidates are offering themselves in all constituencies.
A general advance in wages for steel workers in West«jjSVales was agreed upon at a .joint conference of employers’ representatives and representatives of the Iron and Steel Trade Confederation held at Swansea.
Fog interfered to-day with part of the programme arranged for the German Air Force officers who are on a visit to Britain. After inspecting the flying training school at Wittering the visit to the Bristol Aeroplane Company’s works at Filton had to be abandoned.
