RANDWICK PREPARATIONS. Received October 19, 2.3 p.m. MELBOURNE, Oct. 19. Galloping on the sand Mala covered seven furlongs in 1.361, Conandale assisting for the first five. Talking (M. McOarten) went three furlongs in 39£sec. He did not go with his usual dash. Courtcraft, looking well, cantered on the sand. Bolfield ran three in 38Jsec, while Stevenage did useful work. Allunga and Ross Joy went steadily and Shakespeare, Pandava, Black Laughter and Bristol did serviceble work.
