FAMILY REUNION.
A very liappv reunion took place at the residence of Mr and Mrs C. Ivin", of Ferguson Street, on October 12, when the descendants of the late Mr Abraham King, of Foxton, met to welcome their cousins, Mr and Mrs J. H. King, of Highbury, London, who have been touring in many lands for the past twelve months. During their short stay Mr and Mrs King visited the Esplanade and were very ranch impressed by the beauty of the cherry tiees there and expressed the opinion that, with the exception of the cherry trees in Japan, they had seen nothing to equal them in their travels, and that the Esplanade was a distinct asset to the city. They were much impressed with the quality of milk in New Zealand ; it was far superior as compared with that obtained in London. The visitors left by.rs»in for Auckland where they embanked on the Wanganella bound for'lndia and. the East. Those present at the gathering included Mr G. King, Mrs A. Baker, and Mrs 0. Edwards,'of Foxton; Mr and Mrs W. King and family, Lower Hutt; Mrs D. Munro, ’Wellington; Mr and Mrs A. Henricksen and family, Palmerston North; Mr A. Baker and family, Palmerston North.
