CANTERBURY HOSPITAL.

APPOINTMENT OF SECRETARY. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 8. Mr A. Prentice has been appointed secretary of tho Canterbury Hospital Board. This decision was made at a meeting of the Hospital Board this morning, when applicants for tho position were interviewed in committee. The appointment will take effect from January 1, 1938, and is subject to the approval of the Minister of Health. This appointniont will bring to a close tho position which arose at a meeting of the board on July 28 last, when the board was advised to advertise the position by tho Department of Health after the board had already appointed Mr W. A. C. Gudgeon, its accountant, to the position. Mr Prentice is at present secretary of the Ashbiij'ton Hospital Board.
