MR JUSTICE PACE.
DEATH OF ARBITRATION JUDGE. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Aug'. 31. The death has occurred of Mr Justice Page, of the Arbitration Court, and formerly a Stipendiary Magistrate. - . Mr Justice Page, who was formerly senior Magistrate at Wellington, was appointed President of the Arbitration Court when Mr Justice Frazer was appointed deputy-chairman of the Executive Commission of Agriculture, a few years ago. Air Justice Page was horn ini Wellington in 1877. He was educated at Clyde Quay School ond at Wellington College. At a comparatively early age he qualified as a barrister and solicitor, and entered into practice at Eketa.hu.na in 1903. He remained there until 1912. wh°n he was appointed as a Magistrate. While in Eketehuna he took a‘ keen interest in local government and wa« Mnvor of the borough from 1909 to 1912. Military affairs also engaged his active attention, and he held the rank of major in the Ninth (Wellington) Mounted Rifles. In addition to his inag'sterial duties he was selected by the Government on several occasions to carry out special investi-
gations. A few months age Air Justine Page suffered a serious illness which compelled him to lav aside his official duties, and Air Justice O’Regan was appointed to the Arbitration Court.
