PERSONAL.
Advice lias been received hv the polhe at Palmerston North of the impending transfer-to this centre of Constable G- IV. Hunt, now stationed at ’Wellington. Constable Hunt will take tlie place of Constable W. R. Evans, who has been transferred to the Auckland district.
A motion of sympathy with Major J T. Bosworth and Mrs Bosworth, in their recent bereavement, was passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association. Likewise a motion of condolence was passed with the relatives of the late. Mr Arthur J. Young, members standing in silence for a few moments.
Advice has been received by Mr Guy Tapley, of Dunedin, that his brother, Mr Colin Tapley, who left Dunedin four years ago to enter motion pictures in Hollywood, expects to return on a short visit during October. Mr Tapley is at present in Malaya, where lie is tlie only white min in a production which is now being filmed. With a party including a director and a camera squad, Mr Tapley left Hollywood several weeks ago by steamer for Japan, whence he was to have flown to Malaya. On the completion of his visit to Dunedin Mr Tapley will return to Hollywood.
