ASSISTING ROAD SAFETY.

An example of the way in which private organisations can assist in the road safety campaign is given by the manufacturers of a popular brand of cigarettes. This firm has issued a series of 50 coloured cigarette cards which show in pictorial form the causes of the most frequent road accidents, and how to avoid them. The series covers a comprcheinsive range of road rules, traffic regulationsand safety suggestions for motorists, together with many “doV’ and “don’t’s” for cyclists, pedestrians, and all who use our roads. On the reverse side of each card is a concise description of the road rule or safety principle illustrated. All descriptive matter has been compiled with the approval of the Government Transport Department.
