STOCK SALES.

RONGOTEA SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report a very successful clearance at tho usual fortnightly sale at Rongotea on Wednesday last. A fairly largo yarding of pigs did not sell as well as rocent sales, especially the younger sorts. However, the porker and bacon typo sold very well. The dairy cattlo sold exceedingly well and fat and store cattlo were w'oll in advance of recent rates. We quote: Weaner pigs, 17s, 20e to 22s 6d; store pta? 295, 29s 6d; porkers, 325, 395, £2 4s to £2 Ss 6d; yearling heifers, £3 15s; springing heifers, £7, £8! 10sl £lO to £lO 5s • Bpringing cow T 3, £7 to £7 10s, fat cmvs £4 10i, £4 15s, £5 ss, £6 ss, £6 17s 6d.

RANGIWAHIA SALE. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report holding a successful sale at the Rangiwahia saleyards A large yarding of 6heep, dairy cattle, run cattlo, and storo cattle was keenly sought after by a largo bench of buyers, which included representatives of tho Palmerston North and Wanganui districts. Four pens of wether hoggets were m fair condition and sold at prices on a par with rocent sales. Tho weaner hoifers, of which there wero approximately 40 head, were rather small and without much condition but sold well, the total yarding _ being cleared. The dairy cows and heifers attracted most attention and the total yarding of approximately 40 head sold at very satisfactory prices. Run cattle, which were yarded a little short of the advertised number, sold well, the majority going to the Wanganui district. We quote: Wether hoggets, 21s, 23s 3d, 24s Id to 24s 6d; m.a. ewes in lamb, 23s 3d; weaner Jersey heifers, £2 lOi £2 19s to £3 2s; springing heifers, £6 6s, £8 to £8 15s; springing cows, £5, £5 10s, £6, £6 ss, £8 2s 6d to £8 ss; P.A. weaner heifers, £4 10s; yearling P.A. steers, £5 16s 6d ; 3yr Shorthorn 1 steers, £8 Is.
