ROTORUA TOURNEY. BRINSDEN WINS TITLE. Per Press Association. ROTORUA, Aug. 27. The Rotorua Golf Club’s annual open championship tourney concluded to-day at Ariltikapakapa in fine weather, after the first two days of the tourney, which was commenced on Tuesday, had been marred by rain. The championship was won by the Titirangi scratch player, H. D. Brinsden, who defeated W. Kusabs (Rotorua) 10 and 8. , The Thermal Cup, for which the second 32 to qualify competed, was won by H. G. Davies, of Hastings, last vear’s winner of the open championship, who defeated T. McElroy (Rotorua) 5 and 3. Excellent entries have been received for the New Zealand golf veterans annual tournament, which commences on Monday at Arikikapakapa.
