IRONIC COMEDY.

FILM STARS’ AT PREVIEW. Received July 24, 10.10 a.m. HOLLYWOOD, July 23. (Miss Barbara Stanwyck and Mr Robert Taylor, the film stars, and policemen were the central characters in an ironic comedy at the preview of the picture “Stella Dallas.” A policeman who was a member of the squad engaged to protect Miss Stanwyck and other stars in “Stella Dallas” mistook her for an autograph hunter and grasped her arms. Mr Taylor hearing her tearful protests, pushed back and seized the policeman, who raised his fist, shouting: “f will push you one in the jaw.” The onlookers shouted “Sock the cup” and the policeman retreated, By-standers mollified Mr Taylor.
