The Filipino, Young Gildo (9.7) took the second decision over Jackie Sharpe, Australia (9.10), since they have been in the Dominion, when be out-boxed him over 12 rounds to-night. Gildo, who was obviously favouring the right hand from the start, kept his flashing left doing overtime. This rapier punch, combined with smart footwork and brilliant infighting, in which he was easily superior, countered the Australian’s solid two-handed onslaughts. Sharpe never let up, but Gildo was too wily. GARCTA BEATS PACHO. NEW YORK. July 22. The Filipino, Ccfcrino Garcia, knocked out the Mexican, Bobby Paclio, in the ninth round of a boxing conest. It is expected that Garcia will he matched with Barney Ross for the title in September.
