(From Our Own Correspondent ) RONGOTEA, July 23. The competition for tho Davison-Hill Cup between llio A teams in the Te Kawau Basketball Association resulted in Rongotea. annexing the trophy. This is the second year in succcossion in which this team has held an unbeaten record in the matches played for the cup. The final game was played on Wednesday on tho local courts. The Taikoreal team was: Airs Morn. Misses R. Hill, Ferris I. Cornwall. 0. Jfehir, j. Murphy, 13. Eichlcr and 11. Cookslcy. Rongotca, one player short, had Mcsdamcs W. A. and C. Davison, Misses .7. George, 0. Bottcher, P. Teaz, P. Duffy, M. Fraser. and E. Knox. Combination and skilful goal-throwing carried the local team on to an easy win, despite being shorthanded, the final score being: Rongotea. 35 goals, Taikorea. 11. , , , , Mr .H. J. Crawford, of the Palmerston North Presbyterian Outfields Mission, has returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. The ■'Church of England held a euchre party /last evening, when Iho prize-winners-were Mrs V, xVmcy and Mr J. leaz.
