McDonald’s stable was a worker on the track noxt the rails. , Gay Boy has been out spelling since tho Manawatu winter meeting., owing to the naturo of the going, while liis former stablemate, Hunting Lodge, is at M. Grogan s stud for mating with Phalaris Bay. Mounts for S. Anderson at the Marton meeting include Kio, Unexpected and Joviality. The Awapuni horseman, C. Thomson, who rode Sandy Dix to victory in the Great Northern Hurdles, has boon engaged to ride Brigadore in tho Grand National Slceplechase and Red Sun in the Grand National Hurdles.
