NOTES.
Tlie fortnightly dance held by the Feilding Pipe Band drew a good attendance. Mr A. Wright was the M.C.. The novelty dances were won as follow : —Lucky Gay Gordons. Miss Gacliet and Mr K. F idler; Monte Carlo, Miss J. Kent and Mr .1. White; lucky door ticket. Miss I. Kdhoii.se and Mr T. Moore. Extras were supplied by Mr G. Dick and -Mr A. Wright. Whilst negotiating a deep depression in tile Malcombe district yesterday morning several cows on the road caused -Messrs Currie Bros.’ lorry to swerve and capsize. Several sheep on the vehicle were hurt, but the driver was uninjured. In tlie Feilding Hockey Association's men’s championship competition, C'olyton lead with Jo points. Wanderers have 12. Swifts B 5. and Swifts A 2. The positions of the queens in the carnival are: Miss W. Dewe 131 G pts. Miss Joy Duncan 1213 pts, and Miss Olive Sporle 112 G pts.
