LONDON BUTTER MARKET FIRM
The market for New Zealand butter in London closed firm on Friday nt an ■advance of 2s to 3s a cwt. on the week. According to information supplied by the Primary Products Marketing Department to the Dairy Board, Friday’s closing quotations, those for the previous week being shown in parentheses, were as follow : BUTTER. | New Zealand. —Salted : 110 s up_ to Ills (108 s; a. year ago, 105 s to 107 s): unF.nlted, 110 s to 112 s (109 s to 110 s; a
year ago, 100 s to 108 s). Australian. —Salted, 109 s up to 110 s (107 s); unsalted. 109 s to 110 s (10/s to 108 s). ' Argentine.—Unsalted, 103 s to 106 s; Danish, 935, f.0.b.; 114 s, spot (935; 114 s). Dutch, unsalted, 106 s, ex 107 s (103 sto 104 s) The retail price for New Zealand butter, is unchanged at Is Id and that of Danish is £till Is Id' to Is 2d per lb. Deliveries of New Zealand butter last week were 1803 tons and the quantity in store on Friday 5412 tons, as compared with 4399 tons a year atro.
