Palmerston North is almost unique in staging these mixed tourneys, a a in most places where both ring sports are catering for the public’s amusement it is most difficult to got tho two organisations to pull together. The success of (lie experiment last- year has encouraged the joint committees to carry on the good work as. long as the patronage by the paying public warrants it. There is no gainsaying the fact that it is great entertainment at a very small outlay. The programme as arranged by the two matching committees looks good, and oven bouts should be the order of the night, with ‘plenty of action and excitement tlirown in for good measure.
