(From Our Own Correspondent.) STANWAY, June 4. At the social and dance organised by the local parishioners of the Anglican Church items were given by Mesdames Curtis ancl Amadio (Halcombo), Mrs Winder and Aliss Al. Guv: two plays were rendered, ono by Halcombe talent entitled “The Old Bull,’,’ with a cast comprising Messrs E. W. Cowdrey, T. Amadio, T. Revell, G. Buchanan, and Airs Schneran ; and the other play was by local children, entitled “The Open Window,” the cast consisting of B. Christian, G. Alarshall, Al. Alarshall, E. Alills, and B. Alacfarlane. A tap dance by B. Christian and G. Marshall was encored. Air Gordon Marshall has returned from a holiday spent in Rotorua. Air and Airs T. Green are on holiday in Auckland. Aliss L. Baker, of Alakino, has been tho guest of M’ss V. Green.
A largo building programme is taking place in Stnnway and several new residences are in the process of erection. .
