VALEDICTORY.
MISS A. GABRIEL. Miss Audrie Gabriel, a member of the staff of the Palmerston North branch of the State Fire Office, who has been transferred to Wellington, was the guest of honour at a party arranged by Miss Elsie Moffatt and Miss Nancy Stuart in Miss Beth Parkes’s studio on Tuesday evening. Miss Gabriel wore a green skirt and primrose satin tunic, Miss Moffatt having chosen a black velvet skirt and white taffeta tunic, and Miss Stuart black ring;'velvet with scarlet coatee. Dancing, competitions and items were enjoyed, those contributing being Mr H. Burke Mr J. Blythe (tap and . Fraser (vocal duq£SL..WtWcVlfibition of a modern w'nltz irffcL-'quickstcp was presented by MissbJ.. Ramtaji’aiid Mr B. Stuart. The oppcuttinlty- was taken by Mr I. Young, the 51. C., to ask Miss Gabriel’s a travelling clock, conveying they good wishes of those present. The. "recipient made suitable reply and was—accorded musical honours. Others present' were: blisses R. Fenwick. J. Blackwood, It. Pnrkes, D. Parkes, J. MclCky, M. -Moffatt, J. Ramsay, F. McPherson, M. Thwaites, J. Brown. R. Walker, It Lovelock and G. Russell.
