PHOENIX CLUB WINS CORONATION TOURNEY. On Saturday afternoon, at the racecourse, the Feilding Hockey Association finalised the Coronation tourney, when one semi-final and the final in the men’s section were played. The semi-final was between Phoenix-Wanderers (Palmerston North) and Wanderers B (Feilding) and the former, having the better of the game, came home winners by 2 goals to nil. The final between Phoenix and Wanderers A was a much keener fight, very good hockey being_played, and again Phoenix won, this time by 2 goals to 1. The Jubilee Cup was presented to the captain of the winning team, and it becomes their property, having been Avon outright. In the other competitions, Wanderers beat Swifts B by 7 goals to 1 in a good clean game, and at Colyton SAvifts A were beaten by Colyton by 3 goals to nil in a very enjoyable game.
