Elpliiek has taken up her residence in Palmerston North, her husband having been transferred here under a staff change in the Department of Agriculture. Barnard, at the request of tile Hastings Plunket Society, for the two nurses who are taking the Anderson triplets to the Karitane Home in Wellington, to-day, to have a special compartment on the express tra'n, iree of charge. The nurses were treated as, the Railway Department’s guests at Palmerston North, where light luncheon was served in their compartment. Princess Elizabeth and Princess Alarg.aret are pleased that Buckingham Palace is now their home, for’the spacious grounds provide them with lots of amusement (says an exchange). There are flower beds to watch and , nesting birds to be seen along , the ; wooded paths and ducks on the little lake that willingly come to the side to ; be fed with a packet of corn. llie Princesses’ ponies have just been brought to town from Windsor, so that j they can enjoy a canter in the big riding school which one can see when , going along Buckingham Balace Road, i Princess Elizabetli will also be making; « u'se of the Palace tennis courts this 1 summer. Her governess is teaching J her the game now, but it was the King < who first showed the Princess how to ] wield a racquet. He is a. first-class : player himself, with a fast left-handed ’ game, and once competed in the championships at Ayimbledon when he was c the Duke of York. '
