AV. K. Parry). 'Pile deputation was led by the president of the.club (Mr Norman AVnde). The club had been for many years the recognised medium through which pedigree dogs were registered, Mr AVade said. At present, however, anybody could, register dogs, and ninny people had suffered as the result of registering their clogs with organisations which had- no recognised status. The club whs not anxious to interfere with greyhound or whippet racing organisations, and it had the support of the gun-dog clubs and working collie clubs. Affiliated to the organisation were 60. clubs throughout New Zealand. The Minister said he thought such a move as the club requested would tend to create conditions conducive to the better breeding of dogs and a reduction in mongrels He promised to give the matter every consideration lie felt it merited.
