ERRATIC MARKETS.
CONCERN IN BRITAIN. Received April 30, 1.50 p.m. LONDON, April 30. A late hut only a partial rally relieved the gloom . of to-day’s markets, which continued their alarming course. A batch of excellent company reports and trade news was ignored by nervous operators, and gold shares were the worst sufferers. Some are only half their recent values. The lists for the defence loan have closed, and it is believed that a portion lias been left to the underwriters.
