HARRIER SEASON OPENS.

The 1937 season of the Y.M.C.A. harriers was officially opened by Mr J. Hodgens, M.P., at the Sportsground on Saturday afternoon with a good attendance of runners. Mr Hodgens spoke briefly of the efforts of the Government to help all sports, bodies and wished the club the best of success during the coming season. A trail of about four miles proved a good opening for the runners, who ran in one pack throughout.
