PEDESTRIAN’S FATE. Per Press Association. HOKITIKA, April 10. Following a search for a cow which caused damage to a car last night and disappeared into the swamp off fitzherbert Street when the searcher was walking towards a car, Albert Simms, aged 32, a single man, and a Public Works Department employee, of Han Hari, was struck by another car driven by James Alfred Andrews, a butcher, of Hokitika. Simms was seriously injured dying in the "Westland Hospital four kours later.
