The leaders of the Congress Party describe the speech of the Secretary of State for India (the Marquess of Zetland), in the House of Lords yesterday, as unsympathetic, tactless, and effcutually preventing a compromise. Jawaharlial Nehru, the president of the party, declares that tne Congress leaders will not approach the Viceroy (Lord Linlithgow) to end the deadlock arising out of tlie clash between the party's demands and the stand taken 0y tlie Provincial Governors.
