FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
MANCHESTER UNITY. Thc # regular meeting of the Loyal Manawatu Lodge was held on the appointed date and in view of the dance held afterwards there was a very good attendance. One new member was initiated into the order and one member accepted by clearance. The correspondence included a letter from the Loyal Dannevirke Lodge expressing pleasure at the large number of members who visited Dannevirke. The N.G. and sick visitors reported on visits paid to the Hospital and private homes. A visiting member from Loyal Antipodean Lodge was welcomed. The To'dgc closed early and dancing commenced at 9 p.m., continuing until midnight. There was a fair attendance.
