BOWLING.

HOKOWHITU CLUB. A special general meeting of the newly-formed Ilokowhitu Bowling Club was held on Thursday, when Mr W. S. Woodroofe presided over a fairly large gathering of ladies and gentle men. Apologies for absence were received from Mrs W. S. Woodroofe and Mi J. TV. Todd. The proposed -rules of the club, which were presented by Mr G. Shoulcr, were adopted. It was decided to circularise the lady members with a view to arranging a meeting for the purpose of electing a women’s committee. Mr L. G. H. Sinclair was appointed lion, auditor. The chairman reported that 9m oi soil had so far been laid oil the new bowling ground at Hokowliitu.
