WARNING FROM ONTARIO. TORONTO, April 9. The Premier of Ontario (Mr Mitchell Hepburn) has issued a warning that Ontario will not tolerate the chaos and near-anarchy that the chairman oi the Committee for Industrial Organisation (Mr John L. Lewis) has caused in the United States of America. Mr Hepburn said this was the first open attempt by the Committee for Industrial Organisation to dominate and dictate to Canadian industry. “We believe the time for a showdown is at the start, he declared. “There will be no illegal sit-down strikes or picketing, and persons desiring to resume work will be adequately protected. The entire resources of the province will bo utilised if occasion warrants.” dispute settled. DETROIT, April 9. The Governor of Michigan (Mr F. Murphy) announces the settlement of the Hudson motor strike on similar terms to the Chrysler Corporation settlement. It is the last important motor strike here.
