BROWN HONEY SCONES. Thes© scones can be spilt and buttered hot or eaten cold served with jam, honey, or cream clicose. To make them, sieve together one breakfastcup each of white flour and wholemeal flour, one large teaspoonful of baking powder, and naif a teaspoonful of salt. Then rub in two ounces ol butter, and make a soft dough bj adding three-quarters of a cupful oi milk in which has been dissolved two tablespoonfuls of honey. Turn the dough on to a floured board, knead it lightly and then roll it out. Cut it into rounds, place thorn on a greased baking-sheet, and bake the scones in a quick oven for fifteen minutes.
