LABOUR PARTY.
PR ESI DENI’ ELECTED. For Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 30. Mr James Roberts, secretary of the Watersiders’ Federation, was to-day elected president of the New Zealand Labour Party. 'l'he conference received the following radio from Rt. Hon. M. J. Savage: —“Mr E. J. Howard and Mr F. AY. Schramm join with me in sending fraternal greetings to the conference. 1 trust you will be blessed with as calm waters as we ar.e. All well.” By an overwhelming majority it was decided that the venue of next year’s conference be AA'ellington. The following members were elected ns the divisional area representatives of the national executive: Messrs J. G. Barclay, M.P., J. T. Jennings, A. S. Coleman, M.P., J. S. Montgomerie, W. J. Rogers, AA r . H. Oliver, A. AA 7 . Croskery, A. H. Mclvane. John Roberts, D. Barnes, P. Neilson, M.P., and D. Harris.
