INFANTILE PARALYSIS

MANAWATU DISTRICT. No further of infantile parahave been reported in the Manawam district. CASE FROM CAPE RUNAWAY. Per Press Association. GISBORNE, March 29. The third case ot infantile paralysis in the East Cape health district is reported from Cape Runaway, the patient lieing a Maori girl, aged years, who is now in hosjiital at Opotiki with considerable paralysis. CASES AT GISBORNE. SECOND DEATH OCCURS. Per P ress Association. WAIROA, March 30.

The second death from paralysis in the district occurred in the Wairoa Hospital to-day, the victim being a married man, aged 26, from the railway camp at Kotuawhara, who was admitted on Saturday. A definite case, that of a boy of 15, was admitted to hospital during the week-end. The case is a positive one from Frasertown.

There have now been three cases in the county, but none in the borough. Two have been fatal.
