INCOME TAX YIELD.

BIG INCREASE IN BRITAIN. (British Official AVireless.) Received February 24, 1.10 p.m. RUGBY, Feb. 23. The Exchequer returns show that the total ordinary revenue amounts to £668,690,728, compared with £644,665,284 at the corresponding date last year. The total ordinary expenditure is £693,217,270, compared with £653,379,039 at the corresponding date of 1936.

The chief feature of the returns is the Increased yield of income tax, which totalled £17,356,000 last week, compared with £13,147,000 in the corresponding week last year.
