CANADIAN DEFENCE.

APPROVAL FOR MEASURE. OTTAWA, Feb. 21. The Canadian Defence Bill was approved by the Mouse of Commons, by 191 votes to 17. All the Conservatives voted with the Government. The Prime Minister (Mr Mackenzie King) said that to rely on the Monroe Doctrine or on Britain would be simply sponging. Even in the life of this Parliament Spain might become the cause of an international conflict.
