RULES FOR NAZI TEACHERS

Teachers of religion ill Germany have been warned to omit the Old Testament from their teachings, to show that Christ was no Jew. and generally to bring Christianity into line with Nazi doctrines. The Old Testament must be consulted when racial questions and an understanding of the New Testament make that necessary. The Old Testament, they have been informed, is “typical of the Jewish spirit, and of the breakdown of a people unworthy of God.” Their orders are that pupils must be taught that Jesus did not belong even racially to Jewry.
