COMBATING PARALYSIS.
NURSE INVITED TO LONDON. Sister Elizabeth Kenny, whose system of combating infantile paralysis in Queensland is claimed to be successful, has accepted an official invitation to attend a conference in London in Jane, under the patronage of the British Minister of Health, Sir Kingsley Wood. She also has accepted invitations to visit other countries. In a review of the work of the clinics since the Government of Queensland took them over, Sister Kenny said that treatment was first used in her small private clinic at Townsville, and has been extended to hundreds of cases. So far, 50 long standing cases have been so restored that they are able to support themselves by their own efforts and have been removed from the pension list.
