PRESENTATION.

MR S. D. PEARCE. Branch managers of the linn of Messrs McGruers, Ltd., gathered at Wanganui on Wednesday evening, when Mr S. D. Pearce, late manager of tile firm in Feilding. was presented with a handsome fireside set in appreciation of his services to the firm. The presentation was made by Mr L. A. Bone, a trustee of the firm, who eulogised the conscientious service Mr Pearce had given during his long term as manager of the Feilding business. Mr Bone said that Mr Pearce was held in high esteem by the branch managers, and ho expressed his best wishes for Mr Pearce’s future health and happiness. The manager of the Napier branch (Mr P. W. Peters) also paid a tribute to the sterling qualities of Mr Pearce. The recipient of the gift expressed his thanks.
