PRODUCTION IN WAIKATO. , HAMILTON, Feb. 1. Butterfat production throughout the Waikato is substantially ahead of the same period last year. During Deccmbor 106,621 cows wore tested by the New Zealand Cooperative Herd Testing Association, with an average of 7811 b of milk and 36751 b of butterfat, compared an average of 7571 b of milk and 34.31 b of fat for the corresponding month last season. The figures show that 1821 more cows were tested in December than in November. The highest producing herd in the Waikato was the Matangi herd of 46 cows, which returned an average of 581 b of butterfat.
