KELVIN GROVE.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) KELVIN GROVE, Feb. 1.

Mr and Mrs G. Tunnicliffo havo returned home after spending part of their holidays at Porangahau. Mrs W. Jones has returned from a holiday spent at Foxton beach. Mr and Mrs Galpin have returned from a short visit to Wellington. Miss Nancy Grant has also returned home after staying in the Capital City. Miss A. Burrows is staying with relatives in the Waikato. Quite a lot of fruit-trees havo ripe fruit on them, in some cases a week or more earlier than in other years. Some of tho stone fruits have suffered from the winds and rain, however. Potato and tomato crops are suffering with the blight. Fanners arc still doing a good deal of haymaking.
