VINES BEATS PERRY. MONTREAL, Feb. 1. At Miami Beach, Ellsworth Vines beat F. J. Perry, 5—7, 7—5, 6—4. This was their first meeting on a clay court since the Englishman turned professional. In the doubles Vines and J erry' beat Barnes and Lott, 6—4, 5 7, 10—8. AUSTRALIAN TITLES. SYDNEY, Feb. 2. In the Australian tennis championships in the mixed doubles final Mopman and Mrs Hopman beat Turnhull -and Miss Stevenson, 2—6, 6—3, 6 — 2. In the men’s doubles final Qmst and Turnbull heat Bromwich and Harper, 6—2, 9—7, I—6, 6—B, 6—4. In the women’s singles final Miss Wynne (Victoria) beat Mrs W'estacott (Queensland), 6 —3,. 5—7, 6—4.
