SOVIET TRIAL.

ALLEGED WAR PLANS. MOSCOW, Jan. 28. At the Moscow trial, Karl Radek, recalled, testified that he had received a message from M. Trotsky through Piatakoff, alleging that a deal had been completed with Germany for the purpose of causing a Russo-Japanese war in 1937. Piatakoff had told him Germany wanted England’s neutrality and complete freedom on the Danube and in the Balkans.

Knyazeff gave evidence that the Japanese held similar views. A secret night session was devoted to the production of documents to establish the connection of the various accused with foreign agents.
