MORTGAGE RELIEF
IMPORTANT RULING. LODGING OF APPLICATIONS. Per Press Association. CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 28. A mling of great- importance to applicants for relief under the Mortgagors and Lessees Rehabilitation Act was conveyed by telegram to the Canterbury Law Society by the AttorneyGeneral (Hon. H. G. It. Mason) this morning. Mr Mason declares that applications may lie lodged without the accompanying statements and suggests that, although lie cannot give an interpreta-
tion as to whether these applications will be held good, it would be bettei to file without the statements rather than not to file at all by January 31, the date on which applications close.
